My background: I am a US citizen who came here on F1 student visa 35 years ago. I have a lot of experience retaining immigration lawyers in NYC for changing status from F1 to LPR, LPR to US citizen, sponsoring my wife on family visas. I also have retained lawyers for other family matters.

So when I needed immigration legal advice again, I contacted my former attorney (who is very good), she wanted double what I had paid her before "because of the immigration environment in Trump presidency". This upset me because I had retained her twice before in quick succession and paid full "customary legal fees" and being a repeat client I did not expect to get a sticker shock. Her point was you pay for the "quality of advice and legal work". Yes, she was very good I had to give her that but it was time to find someone else.

On a whim I did a quick search on the net and talked to a few "online lawyers", I was not impressed. This was until I talked to Law offices of Sameer Kumar.
